Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate Travel Hospice RN to deliver high-quality end-of-life care across diverse settings. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage complex pain and symptoms, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families. Responsibilities include creating and updating care plans, administering medications, providing education on disease progression, and ensuring accurate EMR documentation. As a traveler, you will adapt quickly to new environments, support facility teams, and uphold Fusion's culture of transparency, accountability, and teamwork while making a meaningful impact on patient comfort and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice nursing care to patients in home and facility settings across multiple locations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and adjust interventions based on patient needs
- Administer medications, manage pain and symptoms, and perform skilled nursing procedures per physician orders
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, end-of-life care, and available support resources
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains, to coordinate holistic care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems and maintain regulatory compliance
- Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and informed decision-making at all stages of care
- Participate in on-call rotations, travel between assignments, and adapt quickly to new care environments
- Communicate clearly with Fusion Medical Staffing and facility leadership to ensure alignment and quality of care
- Contribute to a culture of transparency, accountability, and teamwork while supporting peers and mentoring newer clinicians
