Free Personal Care Services Provider Training Program (PCSPT)
The PCSPT training Program trains students to provide quality care to residents in assisted living communities.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will have the necessary training to work at an assisted living community in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The PCSPT Training Program will be held at: The Arbors at Amherst, 130 University Drive, Ma,0100
The program will be a total of 60 hours, 54 hours which will be classroom time, 5 hours of which will be for scheduled lunch and other breaks, and one hour of which will be for the certificate ceremony.
What are the duties of a Personal Care Services Provider?
Providing personal care services for residents of an assisted living community or in a home care setting in a professional, caring, and efficient manner.
Following proper procedures for all care delivered including Self-Administration of Medication Management, along with accurate and timely documentation of all care provided.
Assisting with housekeeping, resident laundry, activities and dining room service for residents.
Participating in mandatory in-service training in accordance with the assisted living community’s policies and procedures.
maintaining a positive, professional image.

Attendance:
Complete attendance is required every day of the PCSPT Training Program. You are expected to be on time every day. If you arrive late, you will be counseled and given a written “student at risk” warning. If you are late after being warned, it is grounds for dismissal from the PCSPT Training Program. Students are required to call if they will be absent or late for class. A phone number will be provided at the start of class to report an absence or tardiness for class.
